Sarah B. Garlington
Somatic Experiencing®
Somatic Experiencing®
I completed my Somatic Experiencing® professional training in August 2023, including individual and group case consultations. I have worked in the social work field for more than 20 years in a range of roles with a focus on community, research, and now individual healing. I completed my MSSW at the University of TN and my PhD at Boston University.
I have been engaged in somatic practice and training since 2019.
I currently provide Somatic Experiencing® sessions in person and virtually.
Somatic sessions focus on building resource and awareness of the body, toward the goal of increasing nervous system regulation. Overall, somatic practice builds our capacity to integrate and process our experiences (past and present) in order to act with more intention and choice.
Feel free to contact me with questions or schedule an initial session at the link below.
In person sessions are in Knoxville, TN.

Don't hesitate to reach out with scheduling or fee questions, or if you need some more information on what somatic practice is. I'm happy to set up a free 15 minute consultation via zoom or phone.
